If you are a Chopra fan and have followed his other books and lectures, this will certainly be a rewarding read. The first part of the book is very practical about issues of nutrition, diet, reducing inflammation in the body, stress, aging gracefully, and mind-body coordination, while the second two parts of the book delve into conscious evolution and what in many cultures has been called “peak experiences” or the flow — or what we know as effortless spontaneity, or transcendence (heading into the spiritual realm). It is the journey into the soul and spirit where Chopra shines through, and where I think the reader will find the core of it.In all, an interesting and enlightening book by Chopra, which any fan will like immensely.

I've always enjoyed Deepak Chopra's books. but this one was especially helpful.I spent last year in the hospital through ER three different times. I have Afib and other heart related issues.I appreciate Dr. Chopra's holistic approach to healing. Our western medicine leaves much to be desired.his book is well researched and yet written so the layman can benefit from the studies done.health does not have to be a complicated matter. and it gave me courage to take control of my own.I recommend this book to anyone who wishes to make common sense and a real doctor's guide to their own body a combined plan for optimal health!

I love the focus on the current state of knowledge around healthy processes. Learning to burn fat and avoiding sugar. Also adding an entire section to discuss mental health. I really enjoyed this book.

i love deepak and rudy but this book was very disappointing, there was nothing new in this book from his past books. there is just so many ways to say "live consciously , our beliefs and daily experiences effect our health". me and my aunt both read so much deepak and she felt the same way, very disappointed. if you have never read a book by deepak then you might find it interesting, but if you have read super gene or super brain, or eaven deepaks older books about healing its just the same ol stuff. many times i would come to a paragraph where they would explain a study or topic that i already knew and have heard many times.they are both great drs but if you are fans of them save your money, i dont think i will buy another book from either of the authors unless the topic is about something radically different

I’m relatively new to Deepak Chopra and I was afraid it would be a lot of yogi-ish hocus pocus. But I found it very readable and affirmed what I already thought but articulated more beautifully, more completely, and more clearly than I ever could. And it is very logical and scientific. The study about Marge made me think he was speaking to me directly. Brilliant.

Lots of good information--and I love the plan at the end of the book, with a list of lifestyle improvements to choose from for each day of the week.
