About the Author

Adele Baker was born in the shadow of the Blue Ridge mountains. Her father's job relocated the family every few years. At 13, she had experienced many cuisines, from Cajun seafood gumbo, to Swiss cheese fondue, to Mediterranean keftedes (lamb meatballs). Her family prioritized time around the dinner table, and there were usually more people at the table than the original six. She appreciated the close-knit family of her childhood, and valued meals together. Micah and Adele met in college, married, and within two years of graduation, their family had grown. Addie Rae was born in March, and Adele experienced unbounded joy during her daughter's first year. The family hiked the Blue Ridge mountains with Addie Rae tucked into the backpack. They sailed the lakes of northern Michigan, skied and biked the hills of Virginia and hiked the San Jacinto mountains of California. Despite a healthy lifestyle, Adele discovered that the weight gain of pregnancy had not disappeared. She sought a workable diet, and research led her to the ketogenic diet. It fit well with her lifestyle and became a way of life. The pounds melted and Adele's energy increased. The drawback was a sad lack of tasty ketogenic recipes. In time, Adele created many keto-friendly recipes, and was frequently asked to share them. She recorded her recipes for others to enjoy, and that collection is now available to you. The theme of a healthy diet so captivated her that she continued to create delicious recipe for everyday life. The pages are thick and the pictures do the food justice. As to what other reviewers are complaining about, yes it takes some cooking and preparing time but no where in the description or the cover does it state that its fast and easy. There are several crock pot recipe books that state on the cover five items or less and easy crock pot recipes etc. So if that is something that you are looking for then I would advised against using this book. But if you are wanting to use your CrockPot to make naturally hard dishes this book is the way to go. It is broken up by breakfast, appetizers, stews, soups, chilis, chicken, beef, seafood, and desserts. I just received mine yesterday and have already planned the six meals that I will be making this week!

I was recommended this book from a friend of mine. Personally, I really enjoy reading this book.All of the Crockpot recipes, tips and guides that I need to know about how to prepare healthy food for my family and stay healthy are already included and well illustrated inside. Adele Baker is a master chef on this topic.What I love the most from the book is all recipes. They are very delicious, quick to prepare and well guided.

Same complaint as others here. Although this cookbook has delicious recipes and great pictures and is huge, these are not “ fix and forget” recipes to prepare at the start of the day then eat later. They basically have you do all the work of making dinner , just in the morning. Defeats the purpose of crockpotting. Some recipes call for additional preparations halfway through, or an hour before eating. Same work as any other cookbook.

The cook book which came with my Crock Pot Express was nice but I wanted to do more with it. You will find this book to be an excellent companion to your Crock Pot Express. The recipes are easy and they are written with this appliance in mind. The recipes are varied and cover everything from soup to entrees to desserts to snacks. The directions are clear and will take you every step of the way to completion of the dish...

I have utilized a few of the formulas none are costly and every one of the ones I have utilized so far turned out exceptionally well.They are incredible for those of us who get a kick out of the chance to have home cooked suppers by the day's end yet in addition have not very many long stretches of vitality left toward the finish of every day.

I have made 5 recipes from this cookbook so far and they have all been delicious so far! I definitely recommend this cookbook for anyone who has a slow crockpot. I recommend this recipe book whether you are using a crock pot for the first time or have been using one your whole life, like I have.

I loved that this cook book had lots of options for both crock pot and Insta-Pot. I didn't know much about the Insta-Pot before but now I am going to invest in one so I can try out the other recipes as well. All recipes had good instruction and was very easy to follow with awesome results.

I absolutely love these recipes for my Crockpot. Great crockpot recipes! Crockpot recipes is the best book I have read this year and this is because the information is useful to me as a cook. I am recommended this book and thank you author.
